Tammy Leslie

Partner / C.P.A., C.G.A., C.A.

Tammy was born and raised on the West Coast of British Columbia. Her family lived in logging camps and she spent much of her childhood moving between logging communities on the coast. Her family eventually settled in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

Tammy attended Capilano College in Vancouver and graduated in 1985 as the class Valedictorian. Upon graduation, Tammy returned to Sechelt and began her career in public practice accounting, where she earned her C.G.A. designation. In 2006, she moved to Vancouver Island and obtained a position as a Senior Accountant at Atchison Palmer Chartered Accountants. During this time, Tammy returned to school to obtain her C.A. designation, which opened the door for her partnership in the firm that now bears her name.

When not in the office, Tammy spends her free time at the barn with her horses, preparing for shows and competitions, volunteering as a foster with the local SPCA, or out for a joyride in one of her classic cars. Tammy volunteers her time to various organizations including the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce, Ladysmith Show and Shine Society, and Ladysmith Festival of Lights.

Lori John

Partner / C.P.A., C.G.A.

Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Lori spent much of her childhood years in Northern and Central Alberta. She moved to Vancouver Island to attend Queen Margaret’s School where she decided to happily stay to raise her family.

Starting her career as a bookkeeper, she discovered her passion for accounting. In 2007, with encouragement and support from her family, Lori decided to obtain her Commerce degree from the Laurentian University and C.P.A., C.G.A. designations. Lori completed her studies in 2017 and soon joined Palmer Leslie where she continues to increase her knowledge through professional development courses annually. In 2021, Lori became a partner for Palmer Leslie and enjoys the relationships she has with her existing clients, as well as developing relationships with new clients.

Outside of work, Lori enjoys relaxing at home with a good book, and her dog Bella, and experimenting with new recipes. She also volunteers her time as Treasurer for the Cowichan Exhibition, Nourish Cowichan and other non-profit groups. Lori admires the time and dedication that the people of the Cowichan Valley give to so many organizations.

More than anything she enjoys the time she gets to spend at the office working with the many amazing clients and staff at Palmer Leslie.
